Jim Potts, born Bristol, England, November 1944, was Director of the
British Council in sweden from June 2000 to November 2004. He now lives
most of the year in Greece where he is able to devote more of his time
to poetry and literary/cultural projects.
Jim also worked for the British Council as Country Director in Australia
and Czechoslovakia, as Regional Director in Greece, and as a film and TV
producer/specialist in Ethiopia and Kenya. Jim worked for the British Council
for over 35 years, from 1969-2004.
He studied English Literature at Oxford University and film-making
at Bristol University.
His poems have been translated and published in Greek, Czech, Romanian
and Swedish.
