further off
in the garden butterflies
flutter from flower to flowering
tree. the old king
enters through the
east gate to get ahead of yet another
narrative device he thinks will
sink its teeth
into his calves to
x-ray his plans for
taking over a neighbouring island

respect for their skills
2
seriously wounded
imitators imitating
x & the way (s)he
takes on the perils of
extended afternoon tea sessions
ending in
nightly rambling walks through
sherwood to find things to bring
into the garden
x being perhaps
the longest standing
emissary sent off to
end the need for developing
new ways of opening chests
