Alexander Odoevsky (1802-1839) was a Russian Romantic writer and poet
and one of the members of the Decembrist revolt. In Siberia Odoevsky wrote
his most passionate poems that were distributed among the Decembrists,
and were regarded as the expression of their aspirations and desires.
