Alexey Tkachenko was born in 1974 in Moscow. He has lived in St. Petersburg
and New York for periods of time and graduated from NYU with a Bachelor's
degree in Psychology. He translates W.H. Auden, P.P. Pasolini and Amiri
Baraka into Russian as well as Russian poetry into English. Publications
of Russian poetry appeared in 1998 (Philadelphia), 2005 (New York), 2006
(Moscow, New York).
