COSTAS CACOYANNIS, a Cypriot composer holds diplomas in piano, flute,
violin, and teaching and has a degree in Electrical Engineering. His music
has been performed in major theatres and halls around the world. He collaborated
as a composer with the singers such as Nana Mouskouri, George Dalaras,
Johnny Logan, with the choreographer Dimitris Papaioannou (Athens 2004
Olympics) and the Film Director Michael Cacoyannis. He has composed music
for ballets, theatrical productions, TV series, motion pictures and CD’s.
In 2008 he was the musical director and composer for the junior Eurovision
song contest. Since 2004, he lives on the Troodos mountains (Cyprus) were
he founded PARAKENTRO, a non - profit cultural centre and publishing house.
In 2008 was awarded the 1st prize at the Drama International Short Film
festival of Greece for his film “Transcendence”.
