Chard deNiord is the author of three books of poetry, Night Mowing
(The University of Pittsburgh Press, 2005). Sharp Golden Thorn
(Marsh Hawk Press, 2003), and Asleep in the Fire (University of
Alabama Press, 1990). His poems and essays have appeared recently or are
forthcoming in The American Scholar, The Cincinnati Review, The Georgia
Review, Agni, Green Mountains Review, Ploughshares and Crazy Horse.
He is an associate professor of English at Providence College and directs
the low residency MFA program in poetry at New England College. He lives
in Putney, Vermont with his wife, Liz, and their two dogs, Zola and Sose.
