Dmitrii Bavilsky was born in 1969 in Chelyabinsk and educated at Chelyabinsk
University. Poet, novelist, and essayist, he has published more than ten
books since his first, Nevozmozhnost’ Puteshestviya, appeared in 1990.
For some years he was observer in "Nezavisimaya gazeta" (Independent Daily),
“Izvestia”, “Kommersant” and other newspapers. Dmitrii Bavilsky is currently
editor of “Topos” online literary magazine. He lives in Moscow.
