Gleb Shulpyakov

Gleb Shulpyakov was born in Moscow in 1971 and graduated from Moscow State University (journalism). His first full-length book of poetry was published in Russia in 2001, the same year that he was awarded a Triumph Prize for his poetry. He has published two books of a travel memoir, and one novel entitled Kniga Sinana (Moscow, Ad Marginem. 2005). Gleb Shulpyakov is translator of contemporary British and American poetry. His volume of translations, W.H.Auden: Selected essays and poems, published in "Nezavisimaya gazeta" in 1998. For some years he was observer in "Nezavisimaya gazeta" (Independent Daily) book review supplement "Ex Libris". Gleb Shulpyakov is currently editor of the poetry department in "Novaya Younost" (New Youth) literary magazine. He lives in Moscow.
