George Weissbort

George Weissbort was born in Brussels in 1928.  Five years later he and his family moved to London.  After early study with Arthur Segal, during the war he attended the Central School of Arts and Crafts, where life drawing was taught by Bernard Meninsky, and John Farleigh, and oil-painting by Ruskin Spear and Rodrigo Moynihan.  He has had various one-man shows and his paintings have been shown in various galleries, including the Fine Art Society, New Bond Street. His paintings are in many private collections in England, USA, France, Germany, and Belgium.
