Håkan Sandell

Håkan Sandell made his debut as poet in 1981 and participated in and toured extensively doing readings with the well known poetry group "Malmöligan" throughout the 80:s. During the 90:s he has been living abroad, mainly in Kopenhagen and Oslo. He is the author of fifteen collections of poetry. His recent publications consist of the poetry books Oslo-Passionen, Gåvor - Valda dikter 1984-2002 (both published in 2003), Begynnelser - en barndom i 22 dikter  (Malmö, Ariel. 2004), and Skisser till ett århundrade (Wahlström & Widstrand, 2006). Sandellís poems in English translation has appeared in the PN Review, Slope and in the anthology The Other Side of Landscape: An Anthology of Contemporary Nordic Poetry (2006). In 2005 Håkan Sandell received Kallebergerstipendiet from The Swedish Academy.
