Lasse Söderberg, poet and translator from a variety of languages,
was born in 1931 and eventually settled in Malmö where he started
and for the last nineteen years has been the organizer and artistic leader
of the International Poetry Days in Malmö. He has published — in addition
to translations and non-fiction — more than twenty volumes of poetry.
His most recent collections are Stenarna i Jerusalem (2002)
and Breven från Artur (2007). Among his recent volumes of
translations is a selection of Gonzalo Rojas.
Lasse Söderberg’s many prizes and awards for translations and
his own work include Bellmanpriset (1996).
