Paul Vincent (born 1942), studied Dutch in Cambridge and Amsterdam.
In 1988 he gave up a post as Senior Lecturer in Dutch at University College
London to become a full-time translator.
He has published acclaimed translations of Willem Elsschot (Penguin
Modern Classics), Margriet de Moor, Harry Mulisch and others.
