Ricardo Feierstein: poet, novelist, architect, born in Buenos
Aires in 1942. Hailed as "one of the most important authors of the new
generation of Jewish Argentinian writers," he has published three books
of poetry, a book of short stories, a book of essays, four novels, and
a history of Jews in Argentina. He was awarded a Municipal Prize in Literature
for his 1983 trilogy of novels, Sinfonía inocente.
English translations of his poetry have been published in International
Poetry Review, Literary Olympians II, The Minnesota Review, Pig Iron,
and collected into the book We, the Generation in the Wilderness
(Ford-Brown & Company, 1989). A fuller bilingual collection, Les
Edades / The Ages, is forthcoming in the winter of 2005.
