Stephen A. Sadow is a Professor of Modern Languages at Northeastern
University. His translations of Ricardo Feierstein's poetry, done with
J. Kates, appear in a bilingual edition, We, the Generation in the Wilderness
(Ford-Brown, 1989) and his translation of Feierstein’s novel Mestizo
was published by the University of New Mexico Press. He has also collaborated
on translations of the poetry of César Tiempo and Isaac Goldemberg,
and acted as guest editor of an issue of Brújula/Compass
dedicated to Jewish Latin American writers. His translation of essays by
Latin American Jewish writers, King David’s Harp, was awarded a Jewish
Book Award.
